Did Saddam Hussein and his sons support human rights movement in Basra, Iraq ?

You are of course joking. Iraqis from the Basra region are sometimes referred to as 'Marsh/Swamp Arabs'. In truth most are/were not Arabs, but Persians and they are not Sunni Muslims, but Shia Muslims. I'm pretty certain that if someone had said the words 'Human rights' to Saddam Hussein, he would probably have answered, 'Sorry. I don't understand.' After all he drained the swamps around Basra and in 1988 gassed at least 5000 Iraqi Kurds around Halabja. Most were Sunni Muslims, but they were not Arabs.
